The University of Queensland Social Research Centre (UQSRC) was commissioned by the Queensland Council of Social Services (QCOSS) to produce the 2009 Poverty in Queensland report.  The report represents an overview of the dimensions of poverty in Queensland using the most up-to-date information available.  The planning and implementation of appropriate policies and programs to adequately address poverty and inequality depends upon a thorough understanding of these dimensions.
