About ISSR

Partners

The Institute of Social Science Research (ISSR) participates in several collaborative national research initiatives.

AHURI – The Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute is a consortium of seven Research Centres from across Australia and is dedicated to undertaking policy relevant housing research. The Queensland Research Centre of AHURI is located in ISSR’s Social Wellbeing, Health and Housing Program.

ADA - The Australian Data Archive is a consortium of leading national Australian universities and provides a national service for the collection and preservation of digital research data and makes these data available for secondary analysis by academic researchers and other users. The Queensland node of the ADA is responsible for the ADA Longitudinal sub-archive and is located in the ISSR Research Methods and Social Statistics (ReMASS) Program.

CEPS – The ARC Centre of Excellence in Policing and Security (CEPS) is a consortium of four Australian universities. It aims to boost policing and security research capacity in Australia amid the growing complexity of transnational crime in the post 9/11 environment. The University of Queensland node of the CEPS is located in ISSR’s Policing and Security Research Program.

SISS – The ARC Research Network in Spatially Integrated Social Science (ARNSISS) is a consortium of nine Australian Research Centres. Its mission is to enhance Australia’s capacity to conduct innovative, policy-relevant research in spatially integrated social science. SISS is located in ISSR.
